Dark Matter - Assimilation - for Rainmeter by ionstorm01 Dark Matter - Assimilation - for Rainmeter by ionstorm01
If you wish to see "Dark Matter - Assimilation" in action you can view a small 47 second video clip.

"Dark Matter - Assimilation" is a simple skin suite for Rainmeter that should work on ANY desktop resolution.
Dark Grey buttons with Chrome outline that will match just about any color wallpaper.

This is a mod from my original submission "Dark Matter" that can be seen HERE: [link]
This skin is animated. The modules are moveable and was designed to cover up the background. There are "SIX" openings on the dock. If one if uncovered it shows a circuit board background. All the modules have a glowing green text.

Change Log:
Adjusted some text elements in the CPU module.
Centered the Weather icon within the Weather module.

This skin contains multiple modules that will suit most needs and includes "33" modules!!!
CPU
RAM
GMail
Recycle Bin
Time (12 & 24 HR)
Weather (Icon Optional)
WiFi
Hard Drives ("C-Z" So you can see all your drives! USB & Externals!!!)

Very Flat Weather was used as one of my Weather Modules. Stop by and say hello to the author and tell him how much you enjoy his work. [link]
If you want to see the original submission you can see it here: [link]
My coding was used on the "plain" version but personally I like his better! :)

If you download let me know what you think about it! All comments and FAV's appreciated!!

See my other work for more Rainmeter skins!

Glad you like it.  If I re-visit this skin I will make it smaller.

:? You mean the size of the files used by the theme :?

No.  Smaller for screen resolutions like for notebooks.  That skin was designed for 1920x1080.  If the skin was smaller it would accommodate for those resolutions as well.  I was only going to shrink the large bottom image that animates so that it won't take up the whole screen.

I was wondering about that, since most windows display themes also have options to allow shrink to fit - but font sizes and dpi can be a pain sometimes.
I'm curious though, aren't you working with content elements in 7 & 8 that are automatically resized anyway? Like shockwave & flash that are inherently resizable?

Rainmeter reads the PNG file and sizes it to fit the INI file specs.  Not the original size of the pic background.  Windows reads my INI specs of the PNG dimensions.  I could resize it but my fear is that it would loose resolution and pixelate.  That is my fear.  If I do another of this it will be a different look with a different name.  My plan is to make one with an electric blue background instead of the green.

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of cool blue or bright aqua displays getting some attention on DA, the web and many games as well lately - it seems to be a popular mix! :D

Maybe because of all the similarly colored car & home audio components these days for digital displays most likely! :)

It's a popular color right now.  Keep checking back.  I plan on finishing it up in a couple of weeks.
