Christmas Snow Globe Small by Ionstorm v1.1 by ionstorm01 Christmas Snow Globe Small by Ionstorm v1.1 by ionstorm01
This Rainmeter skin comes in two sizes. Large and Small.  The large version is for HD large screens only.  The small version is for regular desktops and laptops.

Change Log:
12-19-2013
Added Celsius for the Weather!

Here is the link to the Large version.

A clear globe so any background will work!

Animated snow and Rudolph has a blinking nose!

A countdown timer for Christmas Eve!

Weather temperature and current weather conditions.

**For a different touch and if you feel like doing some editing open out the ini file and change the FontFace to Frosty instead of Trebuchet MS in the variables section. I didn't care for it but it was different!**

Special thanks to Demarkies for the use of the Snow Globe!  Thank you!

Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!

Great job, fits well with my chrismas wallpaper !

Just one thing though, I need the temperature to be in Celcius.
Can you tell me how to do that please ?

Thanks.

Sure.  Right click on the globe.  Left click edit skin option.  Scroll down to [MeasureWeatherRSS] section under the Weather.  Now open up a browser and type in www.weather.com.  Add your area to the page.  When the page refreshes with your area temp copy the URL.  Now paste it into the URL section of your skin.  Scroll down to the Postfix line and change it to "C".  Save, close and refresh your skin.  If you need any more help just ask.

I've done what you said and it does not work. The URL I get from weather.com is not an xml file. So don't work. I've look to see if I can find the RSS  FEED for it and don't see it.

After you get your weather from weather.com all you have to do is copy the address in the address bar. Including the http and paste it into the line I told you about.  That part of the skin works on an RSS feed.  If you still can't get it to work I will make another for you just tell me if you continue to have difficulties.

Yes that is exactly what I did. I copied the http: adress I get from weather.com and paste it in the section you mentionned but that adress is not an xml but www... so I get nothing. It is not an RSS feed.

www.weather.com/weather/today/…

this is what I get from weather.com. I took the CAXX0650 and put it in your skin and works but not in C but in F.

Use this:

Url=xml.weather.com/weather/local/…

Be sure and change the Postfix to "C" which is located a few lines down so that it will remove the "F".

Let me know if that works for you.  If it doesn't then I will make on in Celsius and post it here on Saturday.
